Mr. Jitu Mishra, as the Senior Director, Human Resources is responsible for conceptualizing and implementing the Human Resource strategy for O.P. Jindal Global University.
Mr. Mishra joined JGU at a very critical juncture when we were well positioned to expand significantly in all aspects of institution building. Mr. Mishra’s leadership during the last seven years has provided greater degree of stability and sustainability in the growth and evolution of JGU.
A HR professional with over 22 years of experience, he has the unique combination of working experience, both in Public and Private Sectors, in some of the best known business conglomerates viz. NMDC Ltd., a Navratna PSU & India’s largest Mining Organization, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd., Country’s fastest growing Steel Company and Vedanta Resources Plc., India’s largest Zinc & 2nd largest Aluminium producer.
While working with these prestigious organizations, he had the privilege of looking after the entire gamut of HR with special focus on talent acquisition, development and retention.
As the Chief Operating Officer, he has been leading a team of professionals with responsibility of Information Technology services, Infrastructure, Campus Operations & Estate development, Facilities Management & Maintenance, Faculty and Staff Housing Management, Travel and Transport services.
During this eventful journey, Mr. Mishra was recognized as one of the future leaders in the minerals & metal industry and was also nominated twice as a panel member in The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Panel for HR, IR & Training.
